The National Warplane Museum’s C47, affectionately referred to as “Whiskey 7” was the lead plane in the second wave of attacks on Normandy, France, on  D-Day, June 6, 1944.  The NWM want to be part of the 70th Anniversary D-Day celebrations and commemorative air drops.
