The Kawartha Classics Fly-In and Antique Car Show took place on a very hot and sunny June 10th at the Lindsay Municipal Airport. Over 100 volunteers made for a very organized event and one would never have guessed this was the first year for the fly-in. Although the event was postponed for a day, due to stormy weather, the fly-in boasted 75 aircraft and over 120 antique cars. Visitors attended from as far away as Sault St. Marie, North Bay and Tillsonburg. The local community gave outstanding support, and over 50 sponsors helped make for a successful event.
A hit for many was being able to purchase rides in the Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation’s deHavilland DH-82A Tiger Moth. Recently overhauled and sporting new markings the Tiger Moth is the only tail-skid equipped aircraft in Canada you can currently purchase rides in.
