We spend a day at Monroe Custer Airport while Paul Draper and Glenn Goldman perform the final checks on Dave Tinker’s TBM-3E Avenger. Dave has owned the TBM for two decades. The past two years the aircraft has been grounded while new gas tanks were installed and other maintenance performed. Once paper work is completed Ida Red will take to the air in the next few weeks. We were joined by CAF Red Tail P-51C Mustang pilot Bill Shepard who is currently going through ground school for the TBM.  Special guests of the day were Renee and Eric Osaer. A special treat was seeing Glenn take Eric on his first ever flight.
