On 25 May 2014, Eric had the pleasure of photographing the Tiger Boys Taylor E-2 and J-2 Cubs in the air. Flown by Steve Gray and Bruce Paylor the Cubs are seen in the skies north of Guelph Airpark. |

The Taylor E-2 Cub is a classic "Flivver" aircraft. It is an ultra light in every sense. Built in 1935 the E-2 lead o the famous Piper J-3 Cub which first flew in 1937. Over 340 E-2s were built. |

The Tiger Boys E-2, CF-ANT was the first Cub to fly in Canada and has always maintained the CF-ANT registration. In 1940, the Cub was owned by Guelph area pilot Andy McKimmon when ice from the barn roof slid off and crushed the tiny airplane. The wreckage was kept in storage until the 1990's when the Tiger Boys restored he airfame. Andy McKimmon had a chance to sit in his re-built airplane before passing away in 2000. |

Aeronautical Engineer, Walter Jamouneau, improved the design of the E-2 and created the J-2 Cub (J for Jamouneau ) which eventually lead to the famous Piper J-3 Cub. |

A special thanks to photoplane pilot Brad Hieronimus, Steve Gray, Bruce Paylor and The Tiger Boys, Tom Dietrich and Bob Revell. |
