Spitfire PR MK. XIX  PM627

John Weir and the Canadian Fighter Pilots Association purchased PM627 from the Indian Air Force Museum by in 1971. The airframe arrived in Canada by C-130 transport. The Spitfire is seen here at Ontario Place beside the HMCS Haida where it was displayed in 1972 and 1973.

PM627 was then placed on display at the Ontario Science Centre until 1978. By 1980, it was stored dismantled at the Canadian Warplane Heritage. By 1982, it was sold to David Tallichet who traded it to Flygvapenmuseum in Sweden for several airframes.
