Ukrainian based Antonov Airlines AN-225 made it’s second visit to Toronto International Airport on 30 May 2020. The load consisted of 114,000 kg of medical supplies such as masks, PPE and sewing machines.

The supplies came from China making stops in Japan and Alaska.

After landing on runway 24R the AN-225 taxied down Runway 33R and onto a pad beside the infield terminal facility.

Antonov crew secure the aircraft and Canada Customs boards the aircraft.

With customs cleared and aircraft secured the Antonov crew raise the nose and prepare the aircraft for off loading the cargo.

With the nose raised the AN-225 “kneels”  folding the nose gear and resting on supports to allow for easy off loading.

The Antonov flight crew take a moment to pose for the media.

The built-in ramp is lowered.

Local politicians and Toronto Airport officials pose for the media.

Fueling the largest and heaviest aircraft in the world.

It took several hours to unload the 114,000 kg of cargo.
