Our 2011 Geneseo Airshow experience exceeded expectations despite being one of the toughest shows the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group has produced. Heavy spring rains left large portions of the field to soft to park aircraft so a last minute layout change was made to accommodate airshow and transient aircraft, venders and spectators. Performing aircraft count was down from previous years but new acts such as the Liberty Jump Team and Kent Pietsch added some good changes. Old favorites like Rob Holland’s Ultimate Airshows, Rick Volker, Dan Dameo’s P-40 aerobatic routine and the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team kept the crowds on their feet. In true Geneseo fashion aircraft flew from dawn to dusk with the main airshow lasting seven hours from 10am until 5pm. No other airshow offers this kind of entertainment and value. |

This year our nephew, Nathan, returned for his second Geneseo experience with his brother Nicholas. Both had a great time exploring everything the Geneseo Airshow had to offer such as a reenactment camp, unique venders, touring vintage aircraft and flying opportunities. |
