April 30th saw one of the nicest spring days we had seen in Southern Ontario for the opening day the 2011 Canadian Aviation Expo. The ramp remained filled with visiting aircraft throughout the day as aircraft came and went. Vendors were kept busy with owners and plots as well as aviation enthusiasts.

The Canadian Armed Forces Skyhawks were on hand to mingle and talk with the crowd as well as perform their trademark jumps during the afternoon. A hit for many was the appearance of the Jet Aircraft Museum’s newly painted Canadiar CT-133 133577.
